Christmas Toy Appeal
At this time of year, community spirit shines brightest. Glen and Darren of Stalybridge Construction are carrying forward the meaningful work originally started by Lorraine, ensuring that children within our local area don’t wake up on Christmas morning without a gift. It’s a situation many of us struggle to imagine, yet it remains a reality for some families.
We recently met Glen and Darren in the car park here at Woodend Mill in Mossley, where both our businesses are based. They were eager to ask for our individual support in this year’s Christmas toy appeal. Naturally, we were more than happy to contribute — but we also felt it was important to help raise awareness more widely.
If you would like to donate, the process is simple. Whether it’s a new toy, a small gift, or — in Glen’s own light-hearted words — even a “tube of Smarties,” every contribution can make a child’s Christmas a little brighter. Full details of how to donate can be found in the images shared by Glen and Darren.
This isn’t the type of content we usually publish, but witnessing two dedicated builders proudly holding a pink Barbie make-up set and a selection of dinky toy cars was genuinely heart-warming. Their commitment to helping local families is inspiring, and we wholeheartedly support them in this compassionate mission.
If you’re able to get involved, we know it will mean the world to a child this Christmas.
