Phantasmagoria CIC are creating an enchanting and engaging trail for young and old alike to follow and enjoy…Pick up your map from outside The Veg Lord…follow the clues to discover where the Mousicals are hiding with the letters to save Christmas…collect all the letters then join Phantasmagoria in their Pop=up studio Level 3 - Mill One… the magic of Phantasmagoria is come to Woodend Mill, Mossley!

Join florist Brenda Cockayne for a fresh wreath making workshop on Level 3 of Mill 1. Make your own wreath to take home using fresh foliage and beautiful scents such as dried fruit, spices etc…. This is available on a drop-in basis starting at 11am on each day, but you do need to book in advance as places are limited. See link below to book your place now.

There is no better place to find delicious food for your festive table. Always the warmest of welcomes, Christmas trees and everything twinkly waits at the best Farm Shop ever! They also have a Hotline direct to Santa, so pop in and let Santa know exactly what you want for Christmas. Pick up your map for the Mousicals Save Christmas trail through the mill too…it all starts here…look for the mystical balloons and the Green Monster!

Hatch Bakery is well known to many for their hand crafted baked goods, sandwiches, toasties, pies and specialty coffee…all served from their small ‘hatch’ on the ground floor. What you may not know is the small team make everything on site in their commercial kitchen using locally sourced quality ingredients and their own recipes. Come early as they always sell out!

At Saddleworth Interiors we create beautiful bespoke kitchens, bedrooms and furniture with a wide choice of finishes and styles to suit all budgets. 

Ceramicist Shelley Wood will be on the ground floor, near The Veg Lord Farm Shop on Saturday 6th December. Shelley will be selling a range of her beautiful work, hand crafted in her Mossley studio, you may just find the perfect gift..but will you be able to give it away! Shelley also offers courses in ceramics so you may want to sign up for a course, learn some new skills and enjoy quality creative time.

Nicola is an artist working predominately in ceramics and mixed media. We are thrilled Nicola will be a visiting artist joining us over the weekend. Along with Shelley you can enjoy their beautiful work by visiting them on the ground floor, just near The Veg Lord. You are going to love meeting these delightful characters!

Alfie's Attic is a local long standing up-cycling business, We renovate and tranform preloved furniture items and give them a loving new lease of life. Bespoke items are produced to sell and also customer commissions are welcome.

To find Alfie’s Attic, you need to go to the back of Mill 1 and turn left, walk past Cafe@woodendmill and you will see the door in. Well worth the extra steps.

Lots of Hand crafted gifts will be on sale. Always a hub of creativity Luna Craft will welcome visitors to get crafting with lots of materials, inspiration and examples to spark the imagination of all ages. They will also be offing visitors the opportunity to make a Christmas bauble.

Visit Nancy in her small and perfectly formed studio where you will find a collection of mixed media framed textile pieces for sale.

SOURCE is a specialist crystal and artisan gift shop with an emphasis on healing and wellness it is also the practice of Kelly Wood; a shamanic healer and medium who also offers psychic and tarrot readings by private consultation.

The design and sewing studio will be open for the sale of jewellery and children’s clothing…perfect for the season of gifting. We will also be offering fabric bundles as we are having a big stocktake and lots needs to go. All very high quality, perfect for quilting, crafting etc…. A full program of sewing courses will be available in 2026 with a discount if you sign up over the Open Studio Weekend.

Visitors are welcome to call in and have a look around our Creative Space. We will also have prints and collages for sale, so you may just find the unique piece you are looking for.

Artist Sheila Meeks will be exhibiting new work in her studio on level 1 of Mill 1. Original artworks, prints and greeting cards will be for sale so if you are looking for something for your home or to gift you are bound to find something just right.

We have an interesting studio space filled with eclectic items collected over many years. Original prints, framed and unframed will be on sale and I will be working in the studio on Lino carving and printing visitors are very welcome to call in and see the process.

Nicola will be in her beautiful treatment room throughout the weekend. Visitors can discuss and book treatments or even pick up the perfect stocking filler; a gift voucher, for a per or post Christmas pamper.

Hazel always has a delightful selection of hand crafted items, which you can find in her equally charming studio in Mill 1. There are always lots of beautiful gift ideas so one to visit early if you have a list of gifts for that special someone.

Sarah Hardacre is visual artist, printmaker and cultural producer. In both her personal and public practice, Hardacre is a visual archivist and historian, immersed in trawling images in public archives to reveal hidden narratives. Her collage and print works explore the experience of women within the urban built environment and the complex relationship between female bodies, architecture and space. And her public commissions extend to co-curated performances, community driven projects and large scale installations which investigate the sociohistorical stories of place. Sarah’s work is exhibited internationally and featured in a major retrospective of 400 years of Women Artists at Sotherby’s London in 2023. Her work is held in public and private collections worldwide including the British Museum and Damien Hirst’s MurderMe collection. The open event is an opportunity to look inside Sarah’s studio, see unique works, limited edition prints, meet the artist and explore behind the scenes of her practice.

Rachel will be delivering the wonderful family trail for Phantasmagoria CIC, so will not be in her own studio. You can see and purchase her beautiful original fabrics and interiors pieces from Level 3, Mill One.

Maria will be joining us with her beautifully hand crafted gifts, there will be a range of blankets; small and large together with baby blankets, baby boots, hand crafted Christmas decorations and much more ready for the festive season...

Susan will be joining us again to welcome in the festive season. Delightful hand crafted, embroidered works full of charm and perfect for gifting. The attention to detail in Sue’s work makes the small scale stitch details and intricate mark making with tread means there is always something new to focus on.

Pam will be joining us as a visiting seller with her beautifully handcrafted items perfect for the season and well beyond. There is something particularly warming about something designed and made by a craftsperson who loves what they do. Somehow the care, attention and joy that goes into making translates into the finished piece. Support local makers and find a little treasure for yourself or to gift.

Jane Tonge lives in Greenfield and specialises in fluid art, printing botanicals with gelli plates, alcohol ink and jewellery.

We are delighted to include this pop-up at the Open Studio weekend. Louise & Jason are selling stock from a previous venture. Everything is brand new, the highest quality hardware items, hand crafted and sourced from makers in the UK. If you have someone who is difficult to buy for…you may just find a little something special here…while stock lasts!

Diamond Awl is the beautiful studio of Jason Stocks-Young, a master craftsman who teaches traditional leather craft skills via a series of workshops suitable for those new to the craft and those developing their skills. Pop in meet Jason and make a free keyring!

We never quite know what Simon will have to share, but it is always worth the extra steps up to Level 5 of Mills 1 to see him!

Visit Simon on Level 4 of Mill 2, his delightful studio is usually filled with music and with plenty of exhibition space there is always lots of work on show.

Beautiful framed and unframed prints of Liz’s work will be available to view and purchase, part of Little Owl Studio exhibition and activities over the weekend.

Contemporary artist Susan Aggarwal will showcase her latest paintings.  Susan, a full time professional artist, works from her studio here at Woodend Mill .Her works are Inspiring, uplifting and express an abundance of beauty, colour  and texture . You can see this in her modern floral  pieces and dramatic emotive abstract and landscape pieces .

Chris is a contemporary artist from Gorton, Manchester with a dedicated worldwide following of collectors who resonate deeply with his unique, evocative paintings.

Students of Susan Aggarwal will be exhibiting their recent works, include pieces created recently during classes which Susan holds regularly in her studio. The works will be exhibited on Level 3 of Mill 2, definitely worth a visit, some of the young artists have been part of our open studios over several years and it is delightful to see their work progress.

At Wellness Works, we provide the perfect environment for productivity and well-being. Our offerings over the weekend will be taster sessions including unique experiences such as Yin Yoga, Breathwork, and Sound Baths. Come and meet us at Wellness Works and find the balance you’ve been searching for!

Visiting artist Debbie Lord will be joining us for the weekend.

My art doesn't portray an accurate flower or perfect waves on the sea. Instead, it's about making marks dance on the canvas and the spontaneity of the movement. I want people to feel the joy.

We are delighted to welcome emerging young musicians Kieran & Logan to our weekend. They will be entertaining visitors on both Saturday & Sunday from 12-1pm and again later in the day. Make the effort to catch their set. We appreciate them being part of our close knit community and embrace the opportunity to take this step with them on their journey. Thank you guys -x-

Sam Biggs is an original alternative rock and indie artist based in Manchester.

His creative and emotional songwriting sets him apart from the rest, and his voice leaves crowds  in awe.

A must see for sure!

Saddleworth artist Glynis will be exhibiting and selling her stunning works from her studio in Mill 2, certainly one not to miss as you travel round the mills. Her work captures landscapes from near and far, mainly in acrylic and perfect to treat yourself or for gifting. There is always a warm welcome and plenty of lively conversation so if you enjoy art and good company, this is a studio not to be missed.

Take the opportunity to visit Sarah’s working studio with and a chance to preview new works in progress. Sarah will be exhibiting and selling her paintings and sculptures across the weekend.

Visit the delightful FAB STARS studio in Mill 2, they will be open for Xmas crafts and games for children. They will also have art items for sale too; perfect for Christmas presents.
