    The design and sewing studio will be open for the sale of jewellery and children’s clothing…perfect for the season of gifting. We will also be offering fabric bundles as we are having a big stocktake and lots needs to go. All very high quality, perfect for quilting, crafting etc…. A full program of sewing courses will be available in 2026 with a discount if you sign up over the Open Studio Weekend.

  • GLYNIS THORPE - Mill 2 - Level 2

    Saddleworth artist Glynis will be exhibiting and selling her stunning works from her studio in Mill 2, certainly one not to miss as you travel round the mills. Her work captures landscapes from near and far, mainly in acrylic and perfect to treat yourself or for gifting. There is always a warm welcome and plenty of lively conversation so if you enjoy art and good company, this is a studio not to be missed.

    Contemporary artist Susan Aggarwal will showcase her latest paintings.  Susan, a full time professional artist, works from her studio here at Woodend Mill .Her works are Inspiring, uplifting and express an abundance of beauty, colour  and texture . You can see this in her modern floral  pieces and dramatic emotive abstract and landscape pieces .

    SHELLEY WOOD STUDIO - Ground Floor

    Ceramicist Shelley Wood will be on the ground floor, near The Veg Lord Farm Shop on Saturday 6th December. Shelley will be selling a range of her beautiful work, hand crafted in her Mossley studio, you may just find the perfect gift..but will you be able to give it away! Shelley also offers courses in ceramics so you may want to sign up for a course, learn some new skills and enjoy quality creative time.

    Hatch Bakery is well known to many for their hand crafted baked goods, sandwiches, toasties, pies and specialty coffee…all served from their small ‘hatch’ on the ground floor. What you may not know is the small team make everything on site in their commercial kitchen using locally sourced quality ingredients and their own recipes. Come early as they always sell out!

    Sarah Hardacre is visual artist, printmaker and cultural producer. In both her personal and public practice, Hardacre is a visual archivist and historian, immersed in trawling images in public archives to reveal hidden narratives. Her collage and print works explore the experience of women within the urban built environment and the complex relationship between female bodies, architecture and space. And her public commissions extend to co-curated performances, community driven projects and large scale installations which investigate the sociohistorical stories of place. Sarah’s work is exhibited internationally and featured in a major retrospective of 400 years of Women Artists at Sotherby’s London in 2023. Her work is held in public and private collections worldwide including the British Museum and Damien Hirst’s MurderMe collection. The open event is an opportunity to look inside Sarah’s studio, see unique works, limited edition prints, meet the artist and explore behind the scenes of her practice.

    My art doesn't portray an accurate flower or perfect waves on the sea. Instead, it's about making marks dance on the canvas and the spontaneity of the movement. I want people to feel the joy.

    Hugh Winterbottom is a successful artist based in Oldham, In 2008 Hugh started to share a studio in Woodend Mill, Mossley. This move was perfect for him to concentrate on his Artwork. However it is also a great space to work due to the fantastic light and the ability to just turn up and simply concentrate on his painting.
