Join us for Catherine Edwards’ latest day workshop, learning with Catherine herself, Leather Designer /Maker and Master Craftsman, how to make a simple but beautiful pair of handsewn leather and felt slippers in a range of stunning colours and leather finishes.
Choose the size and the colours you require and combine them with butter soft suede and gloving leather for insoles and toe caps. The soles are traced onto top grade unwaxed leather, then cut out and marked up for stitching.
This workshop is brilliant for beginners and those wanting to brush up or improve their leatherworking skills, we will be using the traditional two handed sewing technique to stitch your slippers together, along with many other tried and tested techniques.
The making process is completed entirely by hand using genuine leatherworking tools including vintage and antique pieces from the tutors’ own collection.
We can provide lunch for an additional £20.00 per person, for menu please see here.
